Flowers for good was born from the desire to reach out to the local community and share the joy flowers bring. To reduce floral waste and air miles. To collaborate with others and be a force for good.

Whether it is supporting someone to get the most out of their garden, supporting people to access nature when they have been prevented through illness or injury or simply distributing flowers to people in need of a boost, flowers for good aspires to connect people with nature through education, collaboration and creativity.

Flowers for good is a community interest company limited by guarantee so rather than take dividends, a proportion of profit is dedicated to carefully selected community courses.

Founded by Alexia Tibbs

Alexia studied Textiles at Goldsmiths in London and went on to train in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture. Over the last 10 years she has worked for various charities such as MIND and Bath City Farm, supporting disadvantaged members of the community by running therapeutic groups, workshops and providing individual support in a variety of settings.

From the community farm, to residential care homes, connecting people with nature became a core focus. In 2020 Alexia joined floral designer Deborah Bain to set up and run the Lunaria cutting garden where she became immersed in the world of Floriculture. Growing on a commercial scale and working on events including the Chelsea flower show.

Alexia launched Flowers For Good in Autumn 2023.
